Week 6: Stress
This week has been stressful..
To say the least. I did not want to go to the public yoga this week for the amount of stress has almost made me paralyze to the point of just sleeping and doing school work.
This week in class Dr.Greene started to teach about Ayurveda and the Doshas that we all are. I have to say, even though some would call this a pseudoscience I can definitely see that the some of the things I do when I am stressed out is exactly what this test says I do and because of that I am more then willing to hear out some of the solutions that they have to offer.
The yoga I did this week was mediation that was recommended by my classmate Justin who told me that he was in a place where I was at one point and so he started to mediate. So I put on some mediation music and began to clear my mind. As I thought about what was happening to me in my life I realize that the stress that I was feeling was self imposesd and that I really need to stop focusing on what is important... my health and class.
Yoga can have some medical properties when I was practicing Ashtanga the coach came and help me get into a back bend which in turn cracked my back and made me feel non pain in my back for the first time in several years. Currently after I meditate I don't feel the anxiety that was constantly making me feel stressed out. So I defiantly could say Yoga can heal.
